Remote Monitoring and Control
What Is It?
Boat Monitor 32 is made up of two elements:
The hardware: a board installed on the boat. This is connected to what you want to monitor, what you want to control, and the internet.
The app: this runs on your mobile device and receives alerts from the hardware; allows you to view live and historical data including Victron devices; allows you to manually control the outputs on the hardware; and allows you to configure the hardware.
The Hardware
Boat Monitor 32 is supplied in a custom enclosure and is designed for simple mounting and installation on 12V and 24V DC marine electrical systems.
The device provides:
8 configurable inputs
4 configurable outputs
All inputs and outputs are configured and managed using the Boat Monitor 32 mobile app.
Input Monitoring
Inputs can be connected to a wide range of onboard systems and sensors, including:
Battery voltage monitoring
Bilge pump and bilge switch status
Alternator signals
Oil pressure and temperature warning switches
Fire alarm panel outputs
PIR and security sensors
Output Control
Configured outputs may be used to operate external devices such as:
Bilge pumps
Warning beacons and indicator lamps
Heaters
Refrigeration systems
Solenoid valves
Generator start or auxiliary control circuits
(External devices must be correctly rated and installed in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.)
Integrated Sensors
Boat Monitor 32 also includes onboard environmental and motion sensing:
6-axis motion sensor for pitch and roll monitoring
Temperature sensor
Humidity sensor
Atmospheric pressure sensor
Victron Bluetooth Integration
Boat Monitor 32 supports Bluetooth integration with compatible Victron devices, allowing supported Victron data to be viewed directly within the Boat Monitor 32 app when correctly configured.

Full product documentation is available online, and technical support is available to help you get the most from Boat Monitor 32. We can provide installation guidance and assist with remote configuration where required.
Basic electrical wiring skills are required for installation. The minimum connection requirement is two wires (positive and negative) to power the device. This enables monitoring of battery voltage, temperature, humidity, air pressure, pitch and roll.
Internet Connectivity
Boat Monitor 32 requires an internet connection via onboard Wi-Fi or marina Wi-Fi. If Wi-Fi is not available, a mobile 4G router or hotspot can be used. Suitable devices are widely available from approximately £30, with data plans starting from around £4 per month (provider dependent).
Mobile Device Requirement
An iOS or Android smartphone or tablet is required to use the Boat Monitor 32 companion app.
Victron Products
Viewing Victron Bluetooth Data
Viewing live and historical data from supported Victron Bluetooth-enabled devices is straightforward:
Use the VictronConnect app to obtain the device MAC address and encryption key.
Enter these details into the Boat Monitor 32 app and send the configuration to the hardware.
Once configured, Victron data can be viewed within the Boat Monitor 32 app, allowing you to access information remotely when your vessel is connected to the internet.
